ProtonMail Announces ProtonCalendar
It’s called ProtonCalendar and is currently in beta. It’s available to paid ProtonMail users. But in the future, the company plans to make it available for free users of the service – after it leaves beta.
In its blog post, the company notes that security is its top priority when organizing your life online. “We believe everyone has the right to plan dinner with friends without announcing to Google who will attend.” ProtonCalendar is using the same end-to-end encryption that ProtonMail does. So just like with mail, you can expect that you can keep track of your plans while keeping the data secure and private. The company also notes that users of the service can expect ProtonDrive. It will allow you to privately store and share your files online. The post notes: Currently, ProtonCalendar is available online only. However, the company plans on launching dedicated apps for Android and iOS later this year.
